Bisexuality on TV

Bisexual Girls

Bisexual Girls

A british doc exploring a range of bi women's experiences from bi-curious to bisexual airs this Sat Nov 17 on Logo.  Logo's description:

Bisexual Girls introduces us to five very different British women and the important men and women in their lives. Although Debbie is in love with her boyfriend Orville, she describes herself as "bi-curious" and decides to act on her increasingly strong attraction towards women. Lesbian couple Angela and Ellie empathize with Debbie's situation and help introduce her to the London gay scene. Linzi, a table dancer, admits that her profession has led her to same-sex desires while Beth, a bisexual, feels increased pressure to prove herself to lesbians who feel she is just 'experimenting'. Part of Logo's Real Momentum documentary series.

As always, I'm a bit nervous about how we'll be portrayed. Lets watch and discuss!

Its not the first time that 'documentary' has been on LOGO and, unfortunately, I have to admit to hating it. Its hardly representational and tends to (again) sexualize everything and portray bisexuality as bi-curiosity and little more. In all honesty I have to admit to intensely disliking this film despite its (hopefully supposed) good intentions.

Sounds like the worst case scenario. How depressing!
