Portia De Rossi (Olivia)          Joely Richarson (Julia)

Bisexual love triangle, Nip/Tuck-style.

Nip/Tuck doesnt do things the old fashioned way. They dont just have a plain old ho-hum love triangle...it's got to be a love pentangle...or maybe a tangle with a twist.  Julia is currently in love with Olivia but has three children she shares with her ex-husband, Sean.  Julia and Christian, Sean's partner, have always had a what-if romantic notion about the love that never had a chance between them.  Last week, despite bringing her new girlfriend into town with her, she seduced Christian with the notion that they should explore the unexplored territory between them.  Afterwards, she decided she preferred Olivia to Christian and revealed that the whole affair was Olivia's idea, to get it out of her system. Olivia's 18 year old daughter is trying her best to seduce Sean and corrupt Julia and Sean's daughter, in order to wreak revenge for having her life with her mother disrupted by having to move in with Julia and two of her kids.

Christian (Julian Mc Mahon)  Sean (Dylan Walsh)

The other love triangle (or in this case quadrangle? pentangle? septangle? depending on your counting method) is that Matt (Julia & Sean's oldest kid) was discovered to have been biologicaly fathered by Christian, Sean's partner, just before their wedding...a fact that only came out while Matt was in High School, one or two seasons ago. Matt is now a young married father and is married to Kimber--an ex-lover of both of his fathers, who almost married Christian one or two seasons ago.)

Anyway, the shock value of Julia going bisexual with Portia De Rossi (lipstick lesbian love-goddess and live-in love of Ellen DeGeneres) was quickly eclipsed by the father--step-daughter (sort of) and step-sister (sort of) craziness.  (This father--sort of step-daughter dynamic was done first this season by Californication where David Duchovny's ex-wife's new live-in boyfriend's daughter is constantly trying to seduce David Duchovny.  And in fact, before he knew she was the step-daughter or that she was still in High School, they had sex, a fact she held over his head all season.  There is also two step-sisters, the older of which belongs to the wife's new lover (except David Duchovny never married his daughter's mother but they lived together a long time.)

Nip/Tuck is on Tuesday nights on FX at 10PM & 11:02PM ET.  For more info on Nip/Tuck you can check out these websites.
