Bisexual uncle on Brothers and Sisters clams up.
RonRifkin02

11/25/07 Episode
Nora (Sally Field) would like to discuss her brother's pronouncement that he was once in love with a man, but he is not ready to spill.  He's a bit touchy about the subject.  Nora tries to talk to him about an upcoming date she has with an old flame, which he interprets as her trying to introduce the subject of his old flame of the same gender, so she can pry.  She figures as long as he brought it up, she may as well push a little but he wont budge.  He's just not ready to share.

SallyField

Sally/Nora: "Dont get me wrong, I do think we have to talk about this.  I mean, you can't tell me that you were in love with a man once and then we never discuss it again!  We have to talk about it eventually."

I'm with Sally on this one.  They're obviously trying to stretch out this plotline as long as possible.  I'm trying to have patience, but it's hard!  I suppose when you've been waiting your whole life for bisexual characters on TV, what's a few more weeks?  But on the other hand, I've been waitng my whole life for bisexual characters on TV, hurry up already!

I'm not sure Sol is bisexual as much as gay. Sure, he seems to have gone out with women, but they haven't really indicated that he was romantically inclined toward them. Seems more of a repressed homosexuality to me.

Or maybe I'm just cynical - it seems to good to be true that they'd actually have a bisexual character rather than a repressed gay one.
