Anne Heche on Late Late Show w/Craig Ferguson
Bisexual actress Anne Heche took time to promote her hit show, Men in Trees, looking lovely with long blonde tresses on Craig Ferguson. The late nite host pointed out that Anne had probably kissed her boyfriend (James Tupper, who also plays Jack, her love interest on the show) as her character before she ever kissed him in real life as herself. Anne admitted that James is a very good kisser. There was also some kidding about the first time they met, pre-Ellen, when Craig was with one of her directors and she stopped to say hi. Some joke about how Craig and he might have been making out when she bumped into them. Craig seems to love insinuating he is bi, having discussed his crushes on Brad Pitt and Kevin Bacon on previous episodes.
I think Anne got a bum rap. She is a great actress and for a while that was completely ignored. First because she was in a relationship with Ellen (DeGeneres), which overshadowed her career and then because of their breakup at a point where everyone was in love with Ellen and hated Anne for breaking up with her. Many relationships get to a point when they're not working and at that point, if it cant be fixed, a breakup is necessary. Many of us have been in that position but have not had to be vilified for it by the entire lesbian nation and even some in the bi community. No one said boo when Ellen and Portia dumped the girlfriends they were living with to get together with each other. And Ellen admitted that prior to Anne she had always been the breaker upper in relationships, never the break upee. I love Ellen and have her show on DVR. I used to watch her standup and both of her sitcoms. But I dont think Anne deserved the treatment she got and continues to receive. I dont care if she was crazy for a while either...I kind of like that about her. I'm really glad that her career bounced back and that she has a fun hit show in Men in Trees.
